World Food Programme

I have spent quite a bit of time here in the US advocating for fresher, healthier school food, particularly for those for whom it is their only hot meal in a day. It breaks my heart to think of the hunger and lack of resources for families fleeing the fighting in Ukraine so World Food Programme is close to my heart and doing amazing work. In June alone they reached 3 million people with rations and cash for food. It is also shocking to think that before this war, Ukraine was a country that the WFP took food from to feed people starving in other areas of the world.
